Steven Tyler, is unable to return to his position as frontman because of an accident during a concert and also his addiction to painkillers. Despite his intention to recover quickly and go with the band on the road, the outlook is bleak as he must undergo two further operations.
Guitarist Joe Perry said when he finishes the tour with Motley Crue in Canada in early February, they will begin to see the candidates they're considering as replacement for Tyler. He also said, the rest of the group can not wait for when the singer recovers fully, and although they want him with them, they'll have to proceed without him and prepare the project for the 40th anniversary of Aerosmith.
