Music is my radar - Selections for March 1st-15th

Usually spring months are full of new releases and for these months, we will probably be taking a look at them every 15 days, rather than monthly. The first album The airing of grievances by the Titus Andronicus was originally released in April 2008. They come from New Jersey and their sound is reminiscent of the Arcade Fire along with quite some punk data from the Clash and a little dose of the Pogues madness.

Usually spring months are full of new releases and for these months, we will probably be taking a look at them every 15 days, rather than monthly.

The first album The airing of grievances by the Titus Andronicus was originally released in April 2008. They come from New Jersey and their sound is reminiscent of the Arcade Fire along with quite some punk data from the Clash and a little dose of the Pogues madness. They were named after Shakespare's tragedy and as they say, they never sing about love, but only hate!

Τhe new album by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs is called It 's blitz and is quite different from their previous work. The New Yorkers had originally planned its release on April 13th, but they finally brought it forward, after the online leaked material. The sound by Karen O and her friends in this album is more electronic than ever, and they indicate that they approach disco and compositions by Giorgio Moroder, as well as the Joy Division !

In Two suns by Bat for Lashes, for which Gbal writes , the Pakistani Natasha Khan highlights once again her awesome voice capabilities, as in their equivalent debut album, which was released three years ago. Their new album will be released on April 6, while the single Daniel came out on March 2nd. The album also includes a duet with Scott Walker, The Big Sleep .

The 35-year-old Madeleine Peyroux whose voice has been said to resemble that of Billie Holiday, released her fourth album, Bare Bones, last week .

Black Francis along with his wife Violet Clark , whose voice reminded me of Kim Deal, introduce to us their new band, Grand Duchy. The Petits fours is their first complete release after the EP Lovesick .

The U2 release their twelfth studio album, No line on the horizon for which Mike Mous and gbal submit their opinion.

The 20thcollection - double cd by the Red Hot Organization is called Dark was the night and the participants are, among others, the Arcade Fire, Beirut, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings.

There is also some interest in the compilations by Stereo Nova and Annie Lennox, mostly gor younger listeners eager to get acquainted with their music.

In cinemas, some Oscar-wining films are still on, while most Greek festivals gradually anounce their line-ups for this year.
