If you did not happen to hear something by 22-20s in the first period of their existence as a band, you now have another opportunity to do so.
The band from Lincolnshire in Great Britain with strong blues influences, after releasing the very good self-titled first album in 2004, dissolved in early 2006 because according to vocalist Martin Trimble, after a prolonged period of concerts, they had felt trapped in a specific sound and image that did not represent them anymore.
But an appearance in September 2008 at the Forever Heavenly Festival, on the occasion of the 18 years existence of the company Heavenly Records, appears to have given fresh impetus to the members of the group ,so soon afterward they've entered the studio and started working on their second album.
The recordings involve 3 of the 4 original members, Martin Trimble, Glen Bartup and James Irving and a new second guitarist, Dan Hare. The original keyboards Charly Coombes (brother of Gaz and Rob Coombes of Supergrass) seems to be working with other projects like his personal ensemble Charly Coombes & The New Breed, and directing.
Till the new album by 22-20s is released you can hear two new songs, 'Latest Heartbreak' and 'Ocean', in group's page on myspace here .
