The Gorillaz presented a new song at Zane Lowe's show on BBC Radio 1. The "Doncamatic (All Played Out)" was played on Tuesday on the BBC and at the same time on the band's page at YouTube.
The piece was first announced in Twitter account of Gorillaz 2,5 hours before the show. Will be officially released on November 22 and in the vocals there is a young singer from Manchester, Daley.
As you will hear below, the song is very good and being a radio hit is a sure thing. I would say that its style would not fit so much in "Plastic Beach" (it's not off, of course). Perhaps that is why the band chose to release it separately as single. Moreover, it is also a good way to remain in the spotlight. What is surprising is that the song was released a few months after their new album "Plastic Beach". The Gorillaz are in rather "discography mood" this time ...
