Dimitri Vassilakis presents a truly international jazz festival at one of the most stunning locations in Greece.
At the famous Mirabello bay opposite the island of Spinalonga in Elounda Crete this festival will become one of the most popular festivals in Europe.
Program includes top guitarist and sitar player from New York Nana Simopoulos group with the dance and multimedia of choreographer / performer Caryn Heilman, exciting and upcoming jazz vocalist Sassa Papalamprou with her trio on original Greek folk tunes done in a jazz way and the internationally acclaimed, award winning saxophonist, vocalist and composer Dimitri Vassilakis with his quartet with many worldwide appearances at famous festivals like the London Jazz Festival @ Ronnie Scott' s, Smithsonian Festival at the American History Museum and concerts at Dizzy' s Club Jazz at the Lincoln Center, Yale and Birdland New York.

One of the top world guitarists with collaborations and recordings with top artists like Dave Liebman, Dimitri Vassilakis, Charlie Haden, Billy Higgins, Sultan Khan and many more.
The "World music of Nana" is an ongoing project absorbing music from the jazz, indian, Greek Folk and other traditions, with the addition of the multimedia and dance of choreographer performer Caryn Heilman!
Nana is performing on guitar and sitar and is also presenting a very strong concept of famous vocalist Bobby McFerrin the "Circle Of Song" that involves all musicians and part of the audience in a collective vocal and body percussion improvisation!

He is recording artist and producer for the historic Candid Records label in London and New York and has played with top international jazz musicians like. Ralph Peterson, Dave Kikoski, Jeff Tain Watts, Dave Liebman, Marc Johnson, Abdullah Ibrahim, Jamie Cullum, Adam Nussbaum etc.
Presents TED talks on his theme of "jazz democracy" and has played for 3 Greek presidents and ex US president Bill Clinton, while he is branding with Bentley cars world wide.
This project has been presented at the famous Dizzy' s Club Jazz at the Lincoln Center, has strong Greek & Cretan elements plus modern jazz, recorded by the best players from New York.
This album was album of the year for the BBC and has been presented at Yale, Lincoln Center, Birdland, Ronnie Scott' s, London Jazz Festival and in worldwide tours.
