While in a period of many good new releases, news of several concerts organized for this summer in Greece follow. I think it's been many years since we last heard about so many live concerts here! But, as pretty much all of us estimate, it is hard to believe that all of them can finally take place, since Greek public has some limits and of course the wallets have not been very thick over the past few months. Nevertheless, the organizers of all the concerts deserve many congratulations, for at least trying to bring so many names in our country.
The harmless songs for this week are as follows:
(01) Royksopp - You don't have a clue (9 / 10) : A great combination of both joyful and melancholic feelings. Beautiful melodies, which manage and carry their own paradise. Another typical example of the fact that they have so many fans are Royksopp, even if they come from Norway, and not from England or the U.S. Listen to the entire album here .
(02) Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Soft Shock (8,5 / 10) : The reviews that has taken the "It's Blitz" by music magazines and pages are excellent: Q (5 / 5), NME (8 / 10), Pitchfork (8,1 / 10), Rolling Stone (4 / 5), Spin (4, 5 / 5), Uncut (4 / 5), The Guardian (4 / 5). Together with the "Zero", "Skeletons", "Runaway" & "Heads will rock", the "Soft Shock" is distinct from the cd and a candidate for the next cd single. Listen to the whole "It's Blitz!" here .
(03) Metric - Gimme Sympathy (8,5 / 10) : Classical, dance, fast rock track, which is comfortable playing in clubs. The "Gimme Sympathy" is the 3rd single from the excellent "Fantasies", which was released on April 7. The latest single is "Sick Muse". Listen to the entire cd here .
(04) Jarvis Cocker - I never said I was deep (8,5 / 10) : Particularly melodious - the romantic Jarvis Cocker in a track accompanied by various wind and string instruments. One of the best moments of the new album of Jarvis, who returns to the "Further Complications" on 18 May. Listen to the song from a live appearance last October here . So to get an idea of what awaits us in Ejekt ...
(05) Alkinoos Ioannidis - Tonight (8.5 / 10) : The "neroponti" has already put a serious candidate for Best of the Year. One of the compositions that stand out for the atmosphere created by the use of many musical instruments is the 7-minute "Tonight." Listen here piece, interpreted as a Saturday night at the Glass Musical Theater.
(06) Green Day - Know your enemy (8,5 / 10) : Both the song and the video presented last Friday at MTV and VH1. Strong rock single, which will be enough danced to their concerts. They have already announced a U.S. tour and we expect the world. Could it?;; Watch and listen to the track in Mix Grill, as it is a clip of the week.
(07) U2 - Unknown Caller (8,5 / 10) : The unique atmosphere of "Moment of Surrender" is the beginning of this track, even then some bringing in "Magnificent" . Fairly good and strong Chorus solo at the end. Listen to the entire disk here .
(08) Pet Shop Boys - The way it used to be (8 / 10) : Without the fan I must admit that the "Yes" is a record from the old guys, who are carrying 28 years career. The song played on the radio quite rightly, even if it is within the 2 singles on the cd. Listen to the entire album here .
(09) The Horrors - Mirror's Image (8 / 10) : This is the song that opens the new album British Horrors" Primary Colours ", which is released on 4 May. Very melodic and at the track as possible, which sounds enough like Editors (and by voice). Hear the whole album in NME here .
(10) PJ Harvey - Sixteen, fifteen, fourteen (8 / 10) : Folk song, which together with the excellent" Black Hearted Love "and" Passionless / Polintless "stand out from a disk, surely best of" White Chalk ", but rather less than "To Bring you my love" & "Dry". Listen to the entire album here .
(11) Camera Obscura - Careless Love (8 / 10) : Sweet, melodic, romantic piece of work of the new Camera Obscura "My Maudlin Career", which is in the music since 1996 and have released 3 other albums. Listen to the entire album here .
(12) U2 - Stand up comedy (8 / 10) : The band is said to make a new album, which will probably be called "Songs of Ascent" and is going to be released in 2009 or 2010. Yeap ... Now that they found their way back with the "No Line on the Horizon". The "Stand up comedy" comes from both the past of U2, has some elements in the African drums, but remains a classic rock song. (13) Tori Amos - Welcome to England (7,5 / 10) :" Abnormally atracted to sin "by Tori Amos, who releases the new songs on 19 May. The "Welcome to England" is the 1st single from the disc. Listen to the here .

(16) Archive - Bullets (8 / 10) : As we do, the stigma of the Archive was not only music, but also the excellent voice of the former singer Craig Walker. (19) 1990s - Sparks (8 / 10) : This is a band from Glasgow. The 2nd album to be released in the coming weeks, production of Bernard Butler and is called "Kicks". Listen to "Sparks" and two other pieces of the official site of the complex .
- My Wet Calvin-Alice Says (8,5 / 10) : This piece was distributed free to the world on 22 June 2007 from the band, as it's been done with all their songs for the past 5 years. The My Wet Calvin was last Friday in Night Shift Festival with songs like this show us that we have to anticipate a lot more from them in the future. Listen to all tracks here .
