The truth is that their first album "Whatever people say I am, that's what I'm not" had not aroused my interest. Although Brit-music lover I, several times, tdo not bite by excessive hype forms. The second album "Favourite worst nightmare" the sound has matured and was followed by the amazing debut of the «second» band of Alex Turner, the Last Shadow Puppets .
On hearing the first single of "Humbug", Crying Lightning, I understood that the band has finally left behind the bad attitude I bet you look good on the dancefloor and dive in old records that found in their parents homes. Production on the disc to be released in Britain on August 25 and recorded entirely in the U.S., has Josh Homme of Queens of the Stonage and James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco , who was responsible and the result of "The Age Of Understatement ".
The "Humbug" begins with the dark My propeller and continues with already known Crying Lightning, one of the singles of the year. The Fake tales of San Francisco is coming of age and is transformed to Dangerous Animals with S & M lyrics. In Secret Door the wanton and drums in the second half of Potion Approaching, perhaps the best part of the disc is lost in psychedelic sounds. In Fire and the Thud, another special occasion, guitars reminiscent of Cream, while Cornerstone, with special lyrics, things relax a little and the song reminds us of ballad from the 60's. The Dance little liar could be located in The Age of Understatement, while the very good "Pretty visitors" makes you think initially that they remembered the first album, but subsequently it turns around. The "Humbug" closes with Jeweller's hands that brings to mind compositions of the Doors.
The Arctic Monkeys continue from where the Last Shadow Puppets stopped, with their last album occurring after several hours of hearing the music of Black Sabbath, and the Cream and Jimmy Hendrix, as stated by Alex. Overall we can say that the "Humbug" requires several hearings to determine, especially by those who were expecting something similar with the first releases of the band. We look forward to see the band in a live show, which will certainly have great interest. Potential next singles are Secret Door, as well as Fire and the Thud and Pretty visitors .
