Last night for us and afternoon for the Americans, Bob Dylan has released a new album for Christmas. "Christmas in the Heart" contains 15 classic Christmas songs as you can see below, performed by a great idol of music for 50 years.
The logical question to all is the reason that caused Dylan to make such a move. As has been done before many other times in the past, many artists make such moves for philanthropic reasons and certainly deserve much credit for that!
"Christmas in the Heart" then, is the 34th studio album of Dylan. Feeding America brand has taken the rights of sales in the U.S. In addition, the charities United Nations' World Food Programme and Crisis in Great Britain have the rights for the sales of "Christmas in the Heart" in the world.
In a statement Bob Dylan said for his move: " That the problem of hunger is ultimately solvable means we must each do what we can to help feed those who are suffering and support efforts to find long-term solutions. I'm honoured to partner with the World Food Programme and Crisis in their fight against hunger and homelessness."
According to the official site of Bob Dylan , over 4.000.000 meals (!!!) will be given to the needy in the U.S., the UK and around the world.
The songs of the album are the following:
1. "Here Comes Santa Claus"
2. "Do You Hear What I Hear?"
3. "Winter Wonderland"
4. "Hark The Herald Angels Sing"
5. "I'll Be Home For Christmas"
6. "Little Drummer Boy"
7. "The Christmas Blues"
8. "O 'Come All Ye Faithful" ( "Adeste Fideles")
