At dawn Friday, the 22nd of January 23 at 03.00 am, Greek MTV will televise live a world telemarathon to help Haiti's earthquake victims.
The presenters will be George Clooney and the Haitian singer Wyclef Jean and more than 40 celebrities are expected to make an appearance and the first to indicate their involvement are Bono, Sting, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and Alicia Keys. The list grows every day with those who will be there with more recent being Coldplay, Jay Z, Shakira, Edge, Rihanna and we should add that the event will take place in three different cities: New York, Los Angeles and London.
In the Golden Globes on Monday, Clooney said the goal is to show the people of Haiti who've been hurt so bad these days, that everyone has turned hisattention to them. The songs that will be heard in the telemarathon will be placed on iTunes so that the profits will benefit earthquake victims.
