Hold Steady are ready to release their fifth album. The album, entitled 'Heaven Is Whenever' will come out in record stores, in Europe, on May 3 by Rough Trade (5/4 from Vagrant in the U.S.).
According to Tad Kubler, guitarist of the band from Brooklyn, the main objective was to make the album as different as possible from the two previous, 'Boys and Girls' and 'Stay Positive', that had a similar sound, while as influences on this one, he mentioned composer/producer Jon Brion (best known from the soundtracks of films by Paul Thomas Anderson, such as Magnolia and Punch-Drunk Love) and jazz composer Terence Blanchard.
