About a month ago we wrote about the first Eurorck Marathon, to be held in Athens in October. Apocalyptica will be the guest star of the evening!
Specifically, the Marathon will be held at the indoor Tae Kwon Do Stadium, on October 29 and includes 8 bands from Europe. Among them is our own Rosebleed! Apart from the competition there will be 2 guest stars. Apocalyptica, a legendary hard rock group will dynamicly close the evening of the marathon.
The fearsome APOCALYPTICA, following their appearances at all the major rock festivals in Europe and America have confirmed their appearance in our country as Guest Stars in the first Eurock Marathon. The famous Scandinavian rockers with the cellos, will give their concert with a set list that includes the best in their career. Tracks from their latest album "7th Symphony" like "End of Me", "Broken Pieces" and "Not Strong Enough" and past hits like "I'm not Jesus", "Heros", "Helden" , "I Don't Care" and of course the covers of the songs of Metallica that made them famous. The set list will be complemented by orchestral pieces played with the unique symphonic and epic manner of APOCALYPTICA to capture the audience!
The sometimes wild and sometimes melancholic sound of the cello, will be complemented with impressive lighting effects.
252 bands participated in total in the first Eurock Marathon, 58 passed the preliminary stage 8 will go to the final.
Eight will be the bands who will travel to Athens in October to compete live before an audience and committee and claim one of the prizes and of course great promotion through European media.
