Doctors monitoring her in Paris demanded she should cancel the forthcoming tour and she along with her producer, José da Silva, to end her career.
Cesaria Evora released her first album in 1988 (La Diva Aux Pieds Nus) and from then until 2009 she made a total of 11 albums. Called the "barefoot diva", she is for many one of the best voices of Africa...
