In 2004 Mark Lanegan released his last personal album ('Bubblegum' as the Mark Lanegan Band).
At this time he has been certainly very prolific since he released 3 albums with Isobel Campbell, two with Soulsavers, one with Greg Dulli as Gutter Twins and participated in recordings with Queens of the Stone Age, The Twilight Singers and UNKLE.
But it's time to return to his solo career with the release of 'Blues Funeral 'again as Mark Lanegan Band (with Alain Johannes and Jack Irons to complete the band). 'Blues Funeral' will be released on February 6 by 4AD. The album was recorded in California, produced by Johannes and naturally old friends Greg Dulli and Josh Homme take part in it.
So far Greece is not included in the dates of his European tour but Mark is a frequent visitor and we hope that the omission will be rectified.
Listen below to a new track by Mark, 'Burning Jacob's Ladder', which was recorded earlier this year for the soundtrack of the first-person shooter game Rage and may be included in the tracklist of 'Blues Funeral'.
