This year's edition of the experimental music festival DENOVALI FESTIVAL BERLIN will take place for two days on Friday April 1st and Saturday April 2nd 2016 at HEIMATHAFEN NEUKÖLLN. We have invited artists from our label: CELESTE, SUBHEIM, ORSON HENSTCHEL and RICARDO DONOSO plus non-label artists will round-off each festival day with sets by DEMDIKE STARE, PORTICO ESBEN AND THE WITCH, NADJA, GROUPER and WIFE.
The DENOVALI FESTIVAL LONDON 2016 edition will take place at St John At Hackney Church (April 15th) and the wonderful Kings Place (April 16th). Moving into the second year of the St John Sessions relationship with Denovali Festival, which in year one saw the likes of Jon Hassell and repeated St John at Hackney Church performer Fennesz, we eagerly announce the second year of the partnership and another contrasted collaboration of curation with Andy Stott, Lakker, Orson Hentschel and Ensemble Economique. For the first time we're collaborating with the prestigious concert hall Kings Place and are focussing on post callasical and dark jazz artists from our roster including Piano Interrupted, The Dale Cooper Quartet, Poppy Ackroyd and Sebastian Plano.
Not limited to one musical genre, the festivals offer a diverse range of music styles from darker experimental sounds, ambient, electronica to indie, jazz or piano and string driven modern compositions. As always the sets of the performing artists will be as long as a real club show.

In 2009 the theatre company Heimathafen Neukölln launched a new folk theatre in Berlin's most multi-cultural district- Neukölln. With the motto WE ARE THE PEOPLE'S THEATRE and a diverse program of theatre productions, concerts, lectures and new show formats, Heimathafen Neukölln has given the district of Neukölln a new lively voice - made up by a crossover of styles, genres and cultures.

FESTIVAL HISTORY
Since 2007 Denovali Records curates and organizes an international music festival called Denovali Festival. The first editions took place in Essen, Germany - since 2013 Denovali presents similar events in London and Berlin. Focussed on various forms of experimental and adventurous music the lineup offers a wonderful opportunity to discover a wide range of international Denovali artists live and is rounded off by various renowned non-label guest artists. A hallmark of the festival is the renunciation of the headliner principle: all artists are receiving the same attention - the length of each artist's concert is equal. In addition to the musical program Denovali is setting up a stall offering Vinyl releases from their roster and a fine selection of other label releases, which can be usually found at the Denovali Mailorder.
