About a week to go till February 8 and 7 years after "100th Window", the new album by Massive Attack will finally be released with the best omens. Reviews so far are very good and everyone's talking about a pretty good album, certainly better than their last.
For our own review on "Heligoland" you will have to wait till next Monday. The only thing we can say with certainty is that the many collaberations have not altered the sound-profile of Massive and on the contrary restore it more.
As you can guess the band is doing interviews to support "Heligoland". In one of them is the one they did with Alexis Petridis (yes a Greek with a great career in British radio and journalism in general) and Rosie Swash for Guardian. "Fatalism" is said to be a different implementation of "Flat of the Blade" with Guy Garvey, which is in Heligoland. As you can see in these remixes, it is no coincidence that "Paradise Circus" has 3 remixes. This is perhaps the best song of the album, with the incredible voice of Hope Sandoval (Mazzy Star).
