The band from the UK that presented its first album in 1993, having undergone some significant changes in their composition lately, presents itself on Saturday February 21 in Badminton Theater.
Reasons why someone would appreciate the music of Tindersticks is mainly because of its melodiousness and their full of melancholy compositions. Listen to one song, not even a lot, and you will not miss it. Another reason is the plethora of musical instruments used each time and, opposite to the usual practice of a rock band, if you can describe in that way (hardly), they include, apart from the fixed and permanent guitar / drums / bass / voice, and perhaps keys, many other instruments such as violin, piano, clarinet, vibraphone, trombone, trumpet and other, and not to prattle, people play their music with orchestra accompaniment! To give you another one serious reason to appreciate their music that is the special voice of Stuart Ashton Staples , that makes you travel and makes you feel safe to let go, as if you were in your drandad's arms, and listen to his story in peace ... (and he is only 44 years of age!)
A personal reason is that their songs (2)are being heard in my favorite-for the time being- series The Sopranos . And now I can blow it all. Or, rather, the half of it. Of course, the band is not what it was. That is one reason to see them in Athens this Saturday with a curiosity for what happened after the departure of three of the total six members of the band -half-left. Let's see what we're going to hear ...
