Although Nick Cave had announced the dissolution of Grinderman at the end of last year, Grinderman 2: RMX was released.
This new album includes remixes and cover versions of songs of the very good second album by Grinderman, Grinderman 2 (2010). The album, released by Mute, includes, among others, 'Super Heathen Child', a performance of 'Heathen Child' which unites Grinderman with legendary guitarist Robert Fripp (King Crimson, David Bowie, Eno). Also on the record you will find the unreleased remix by Nick Zinner (Yeah Yeah Yeahs) to ' Bellringer Blues ', remix by Joshua Homme ( Queens of The Stone Age) to ' Mickey Mouse & the Goodbye Man ' and the original demo performance of ' Evil '.
The album is available on CD, vinyl and electronic form. Also, there is an iTunes deluxe version which includes videoclips of 'Heathen Child', 'Mickey Mouse & the Goodbye Man', 'Evil', a short film for Grinderman and 3 videos of the performances of the band.
