Arcade Fire are to re-release 'The Suburbs' in June, with the addition of two brand new songs.The band’s third album has gained acclaimed critiques and topped many charts of the best albums of 2010. MixGrill evaluated it as the best one of the last year.
The tracks, which are titled 'Speaking In Tongues' and 'Culture War', will be released on June 27 in a new, deluxe edition of the band’s third album. The re-release will come with a DVD of the band's Spike Jonze - directed short film “Scenes From the Suburbs”, as well as a making-of documentary, echoing comments made in Pitchfork’s recent interview with band member Will Butler (click here to read the interview).
BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe revealed this information on his radio show and according to him, both songs will be played for the first time on Radio 1 on May 23.
You can see the video clip for the song "The Suburbs", which is also directed by Spike Jonze and is taken from the short film “Scenes From the Suburbs”.
