I consider Moon Safari to be one of the best cds in 15 years. It is several times that accompanies the beautiful nights, rainy mornings of weekends, waiting for the next train in Metro. And the music of Virgin Suicides, like the Talkie Walkie in 2004 were perfect soundtracks for such moments.
More generally, however, Air have a tired look, a replay of the acquired.
This course is repeated at Love 2. Which means that we are actually talking about a calm, relaxing work without specific outbreaks and without being able to keep one's attention. All the elements that have made the Air dear and special are here, synths, wah-wah guitars, vocals androgens, simplicity or no lyrics etc
What is missing is the actual completion and the climax of the composition, that could be traveling you, but remain static. The feeling that runs throughout the cd, and this time could be (and ultimately is) dreamy, such that it connects so strongly sounds from the past, present and future, but they still are at the limits of boredom.
This is also a cd for beautiful, romantic evenings and rainy mornings, but that quickly could be replaced with similar works by other artists and of course the Moon Safari. Do not skip it by the first hearing, cause it could surprise at points.
