Οι You Say Party!, ένα από τα καλύτερα συγκροτήματα που μας ήρθαν από το Καναδά τα τελευταία χρόνια, ανακοίνωσαν χτες την διάλυση τους.
Ξεκίνησαν την μουσική τους πορεία σαν You Say Party! We Say Die! το 2004 στο Vancouver του Καναδά και μέχρι σήμερα έχουν κυκλοφορήσει πέντε album, (Hit the Floor! - 2005, Lose All Time - 2007, Remik's Cube - 2008, XXXX – 2009, REMIXXXX – 2010).
Άλλαξαν το όνομα τους σε You Say Party! την άνοιξη του 2010 μετά την κατάρρευση του ντράμερ του γκρουπ Devon Clifford πάνω στην σκηνή και τον θάνατο του λίγο μετά από εγκεφαλική αιμορραγία.
Τον περασμένο Νοέμβριο, λίγοι από εμάς, είχαμε την τύχη να δούμε τους YSP ζωντανά στην σκηνή του Gagarin σε μία δυναμική και ενθουσιώδη συναυλία.
Ολόκληρη η ανακοίνωση που δημοσίευσε το γκρουπ στην ιστοσελίδα του λέει:
«Becky, Derek and I are announcing the immediate cease to activity as YSP.
Call it a hiatus.
Call it a break.
Call it whatever you want.
It’s been a hard year for us. Not a bad year.
We’ve experience wonderful support from people.
But you gotta listen to your body and your mind when it begins to revolt against what you think it is you have to do.
So we’re gonna stop for a while, and we’re gonna work on who we are as people. We know that everyone understands exactly why and where we’re coming from.
